An inspiration to every Cub

The Grey Wolf award is the top award a Cub Scout can achieve. It requires commitment, effort and a bunch of fun for the Cub involved. In early 2016 the District Commissioner Woody and leaders Kilkie and Korana had the pleasure of awarding Oscar his Grey Wolf award. Oscar worked, had fun, and showed lots of examples of great badge work.

As part of his Grey Wolf Award Oscar made a wonderful 'Lego' comic book which can be used as a resource by all Cub Scouts. Click here to read it!

We hope Oscar will inspire more Cubs to pursue their Grey Wolf. Congratulations Oscar! It is not every Cub that can achieve this award.

Cleaning up Australia

Thank you to all the Cubs, Joeys, Scouts, Leaders and Parents who helped clean up our little corner of Australia. The task may have been a bit gross, but their were smiles on all faces. We scoured the tracks, mangroves and sports fields in our area.

What did we find: tyres, mattresses, the remnants of parties, handballs, bottle caps, plastic bags, straws and more unsavoury items.

GREAT WORK TEAM!

Badge work is rewarding

Earning Badges can give Cubs a real sense of achievement. Every Cub, of every age, is capable of earning many badges. Perhaps your child would like to have a go. Have a chat to your Leaders.

A new era for Explorer Pack

Explorer Pack is off to a strong start in 2016 with all new Cub Leaders. Meet Brownie, Hathi, and Bagheera. Brownie is moving up from Joeys, Bagheera has moved from Qld, and Hathi has just been invested. I'm pretty sure they are having fun.

Cub Scouts Out and About - Cockatoo Island

A little rain didn't put our East Ryde Cubs from having a great day out on Cockatoo Island. We explored every nook and cranny. Seagull nesting season is in full swing. The Cubs saw eggs, fluffy newborns and week old chicks.
