Relay Game:

Joeys take all the items for the beach and place them at a given spot at the end of the hall- can be done as a dress up- hat, sunnies, longsleeve shirt – ready for the beach – then pack the car.

On the Beach in the Water

Use a rope to show where the edge of the water is. Leader calls either ‘on the beach’ or  ‘in the water’ and joeys must decide where to go. This is a listening game so when the leader calls in the beach the joeys don’t move. Add movements such as ‘go for a swim’ which can only be done if the joeys are ‘in the water’. “shark” is always a fun call at the end of the game.

Craft-Car Making

Use boxes, paper plates and anything else we have available to make cars the joeys can ride around in. Give them time to decorate the cars as they want to.

Razzleberry, dazzleberry, snazzleberry fizz

This can be lemonade and food colouring for the Joeys to drink and then bicarb soda and vinegar to make very fizzy reactions to “power” the cars.

Chocolate marshmallow fudge delight

Dip marshmallows in chocolate.
