Games/Craft Information:
Relay:
Put Joeys in two teams. Have pictures and objects at one end of the hall. The Joeys have to run to the end and bring back things that are used to care for your self or are good for you. Stop after a given time and compare what the teams have brought back. Discuss their choices. Is there anything that needs to go back? Have Joeys say why they chose each item. (There doesn’t need to be a winning team)
Fruit Salad:
Joeys sit on chairs in a circle, and then get Joey to stand up and remove their chair so this leaves 1 person standing in the centre of the circle of chairs. Everyone is labelled with a different type of fruit i.e. orange, apple, and banana then when the person in the middle calls out one of the fruits the people have to move seats with the people with the same fruit. Or if the person in the middle of the circle calls out fruit salad then everyone must move. The person in the middle has to try and get a seat once he has called out a fruit.
Battleship
We need to cross the mouth without hitting any tooth decay.
Food Pyramid
Each joey in turn runs and collects a food – they have to place it in the correct level of the pyramid.
Hand washing
Explain WHY it is important to wash your hands. Practise hand washing with happy birthday!
Kim’s Game
