Games/Craft Information:
Egg and Spoon Race
Usual pingpong (Freds) and spoon race but just to spice things up they have to collect an egg shape from the other end and bring it back to their team, each egg has a letter which together spells a phrase – the first team to get the phrase wins!! No dropping the Fred!
Egg rolling race – aka Lemon Golf
2 or 3 teams have to get the lemon down the hall, around the chair and back using the newspaper golf stick only – NO HANDS or FEET!! Decided eggs might be a bit messy!!
Craft
Making an Easter chick or Easter bunny! Which to pick will be the hardest part!!
Battleship
Don’t step on the egg!!
Hot Potato
Using bean bags – throw to one another in a circle calling their name first - if you drop it you must salute and say the Joey promise or law before you can join in again.
Egg Hunt
Two teams – give them the first clue there are 6 in all. One involves outside the back of the hall and one is upstairs in the Rover den. Only one egg each we’re not made of chocolate!!
Story – fill in the blanks
Each Joey has a number 1 to 16 and is given a selection of words (4). They can pick one. When you read the story they have to fill in the blank with their chosen word. I already wrote the words as it saves time!!
I have cookies and cordial while we’re having a story.
The Pet Show
One day my dad came home and said there was going to be a big pet show in our town.
“That's 1!” I said. “I'm sure 2 will win.”
2is our pet 3. She is really smart. She can do lots of tricks. She's very good at shaking her 4 and jumping through 5. Her favourite food is 6. It's the only thing she'll eat.
On the day of the pet show, I got up early, washed 2, and tied her favourite 7 around her neck. She looked 8.
I couldn't believe all the pets at the show. On one side of us there was a big 9. On the other side was a 10 poodle. At that point the judges came by. We showed them how 2 can balance a 11 on her 12. They were very impressed.
At the end of the day, the first prize went to a big 13 with 14 stripes. But 2 got a 15 ribbon for being the most 16 3 at the show.
