Light the Olympic Flame and declare the games open.

Divide the Joeys into two teams.

"In the name of all competitors, I promise that we shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honour of our teams."

Event 1 – Breaststroke

Line teams up at one end of the playing field. First person in team puts a ball between their legs and races to the end of the course and back, all the while breast stroking with their arms. Ball is passed to next person in team until all have had a turn.

Event 2 – 50 Meter Swim

Teams in relay formation. Each team is given a plastic cup of water. Each Joey needs to walk/run (or can make them hop) to fence and back carrying the cup of water. All team members to have a turn. The winning team is the team with the most water in their cup at the end of the race.

Event 3 – Shot Put

Joey Scouts stand behind a line and try to propel a bean bag as far as possible to the hoop. The bean bag should be pushed from the shoulder rather than thrown.

Bean bags for each team. Hoop for the target.

Event 4 – Tunnel Ball

In teams Joeys pass the ball under legs from the front to the back of the team. The last player of each team runs to the front of the team and this is repeated until all have a turn.

Repeat with ball being passed overheads and under legs.

Event 5 – Balance Beam obstacle course

Event 6 – Sack Race

Teams in relay formation – half at one end of the field – half at the other. Each team is given a hessian sack. Each Joey needs to step into the sack and hop from one end of the field to the other. All team members to have a turn.

Award gold medals to all. Extinguish the flame.
