Games/Craft Information:

Champagne racing:

Two teams, 2 champagne flutes – pour ‘champagne’ into flute and run to the end and fill the jug – first team filled wins!

Horse Racing:

Two teams, first two in team one is jockey one is rider.  The rope is put around the waist of the horse and the jockey holds the two ends.  Run to the end and back.  The horse then becomes the next jockey and takes the next member of the team as his horse, don’t forget the first jockey at the end!

Horse Racing/draw:

Each horse and rider has a set of colours and pattern on their uniform so they can be easily identified.  These are called ‘silks’.  We will have a draw for each horse and pick your colours for your jockeys bib and horses bridle.  You will also get a number which is the order you line up in.

Make a horse and coloured silks:

Colour the horses heads and tape onto the top of a pole.  Add reins.  Colour the design on your bib and add string to tie on.

Horse Races:

Either straight racing or maybe in heats? Or a steeple chase (obstacle course).
