Finger print book marks – try not to use too much paint so they have a chance to dry!!  On the reverse of the poem – put their name, 2011 and some painty finger prints flowers or hearts.

 

Fruit Salad

All mums and joeys sit in a circle on chairs – “number off” apple, banana, orange, melon around the circle.  Remove one chair and that person stands in the middle – call “banana” all the bananas have to get up and swap chairs and the person in the middle has to try and nab a chair.  Then we have a new person in the middle, call apples – all apples must swap… etc. also add “mums” all mums swap and “Joeys” all joeys swap and “fruit salad” everyone swaps!

 

Mother’s Revenge

Two or 3 teams Mum/Joey/Mum/Joey/Mum.  First mum runs up and throws the neat pile of clothes all over the place, next Joey has to find them and fold them neatly – matching sock!! Next mum runs up and throws clothes…. Etc.  Winning team has the neatest pile! But don’t tell them that at the beginning!!

 

Set the Table!

Still in 3 teams – each member has to run up and place one set of things on the table, cloth, mats, cutlery, plates etc.  Best set table wins!

 

Blind Joey Scouts

Blindfold all the mums and put them in the middle (turn them around a few time if necessary) put all the joeys around the edge of the hall and they must stay still and call to their mums – try it the other way around – see if Joeys can pick their mum!

 

Tea and Biscuits/cake

While we are playing games – please make tea/coffee for 6.25 as per list.

Foldovers:

Sheet of paper – first person draws a head, human, monster, animal? Folds back along the neck and the next person draws a body, folds it over and the last person draws legs.  Who has the best/funniest picture?

 

Feather relay:

Plate of feathers per team – team that loses the LEAST feathers wins – no stopping  to pick up feathers and no holding them down!

 

Story:

One person starts the story…..

I went shopping and I brought some….. ?carrots.

Next person….

I went shopping and I brought some carrots and some ?milk…..

Next person has to remember the list and add another   etc….

 

Have pen and paper to jot down the list as it will get hard!!!
