Game: Drums and Whistles

Divide the Joey Scout into two teams. All Joey Scout Close their eyes whilst the Leader touches them on the head, naming them either "drums or whistles”

On the signal from the Leader the Joey Scouts, still with their eyes closed, begin either "drumming" or "whistling" to find their team members. Shortly there should be a group of "drummers’ and another of “whistlers”.

Flubber Pipes

Put a small hole in the end of the thumb of the glove and push the straw through, tape securely in place. Tape the wrist of the glove to the end of the cardboard tube. Pull down the glove to make a drum like seal on top of the tube and blow into the straw at the same time. Thel longer the tube the deeper the sound.

Song

There was a young man with a horn,
Who made all of his neighbors forlorn!
He would play night and day,
In the most dreadful way,
That noisy young man and his horn.

The sound that came out of that horn
Even chased famished crows from the corn!
Until one summer day,

Someone filled it with clay,
And that was the end of the horn!
