Games/Craft Information:

 

Colourful game

Gather joeys on the dot and give them a task:

• Put your nose on something green
• Put your elbow on something black
• Put your chin on something yellow
• Put your knee on something…..

You get the picture….. maybe add some other colours of fabric or paper around the hall to add a few extra?

 

Red card run

Joeys line up in single file in front of the leader.  Leader turns over the top card of a shuffled deck of cards (large pack in the bottom of filing cabinet).  If it is a red card they?….. run to the front wall and back to the end of the line or maybe run to the table a get a jelly bean/popcorn/sticker? If it is a black card they go straight to the back of the line.

 

Rainbow balloon game

 

Blow up a load of different coloured balloons.  Draw a chalk line across the hall and divide Joeys into two teams one either side.  They have to make sure all the balloons stay on the opposite side of the line, ie the winning team has the least or NO balloon on their side.

 

Craft - Rainbow pictures

Make a collage of an outdoor theme, grass, trees, leaves, clouds, sun, rainbow, whatever you can find to stick on or draw.  Suggest using cardboard instead of paper!!

 

 

If finish – battleship.  Who can evade the sheriff’s men or skip between the clouds

 

Rainbow hunt

Hide small coloured bits of paper around the hall.  In two teams the first person has to get a bit of paper the correct colour for the rainbow – ie RED, next orange, next yellow etc… rainbow must be made in order.

 

Make a Robin Hood Hat

Target practice

Using straw rockets draw a target on the white board – or make one and fire.  Could use the clown and see if anyone can get through the hole?

 

Merry Men paper chain

Printout and cut in half the paper chain template.  Concertina the paper and leave joeys to cut out the men.
